Express Yourself Authentically: Simple, everyday activities to balance the throat chakra

Are you able to express yourself clearly and authentically? Are you able to be open and honest while also being compassionate?

When you have a balanced throat chakra, you’re able to do this easily. You can help your throat chakra come into balance with simple, everyday actions that support energy flowing through this channel.

Today we’ll take a closer look at this chakra, the 5th one.

Keep in mind that the 3 lower chakras below the heart include the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras. They’re related to earthly matters such as survival and security, sex, creation, strength and power.

The fourth chakra, the heart chakra, is the bridge between the lower chakras of matter and the upper chakras of spirit.

Then, the upper chakras above the heart include the throat, brow and crown chakras. They’re related to expressing yourself, clarity of perception, intuition and higher consciousness.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the throat chakra.

The Throat Chakra

The throat chakra, the fifth chakra, is located in the throat area that includes the neck, jaw, mouth, shoulders, and also ears. This is your source of verbal expression. The words we speak have great power. Power to heal and power to create anew.

When you have a balanced throat chakra, you’re able to express yourself clearly and honestly in any situation with confidence. When you speak your truth, it’ll be experienced as authentic and compassionate.

You’ll be able to be open and honest. You’ll stand up for what you believe, yet not be hurtful toward others. You’ll have a certain sense of personal integrity and honor.

Choosing simple actions every day that help to balance your throat chakra will support you in expressing yourself more clearly and authentically. Here are 2 simple activities you can easily do during the day to support your throat chakra:

  1. Sing
  • Sing along with your favorite songs on the radio or your own playlist.
  • Hum to yourself as you are cooking, cleaning or gardening.
  • Chant a sacred mantra during quiet moments.
  1. Journal
    • Write down the thoughts and feelings that are in your mind at that moment.
    • Write about an experience you had during the day and how it affected you.
    • Devote 10 minutes to journaling and write anything that comes to your mind.

Remember that the simple actions you take in your life every day can help keep your energy centers flowing and balanced! You’ll discover more confidence and joy in your life by being able to express yourself clearly and authentically.
