Connect with Your Soul’s Purpose

What do you feel is your soul’s purpose at this time in your life? Are you fully engaged with it?

In recent blog posts, I’ve shared with you the wisdom that I’ve discovered in my life in how to connect with your soul’s purpose. Today, I’ll share a recap with you.

To connect with your soul’s purpose….

1. Creativity is essential to our health and well-being. As long we’re creating, we keep growing, developing, and evolving as individuals and as a community. If we cease to create, then our life energy decreases. Decay and deterioration enter in.  Our state of health declines.

Creativity is like a refreshing breath of life for us, helping us to thrive. It feeds us, making us feel invigorated, energized, and alive. It gives us the gifts of vitality, health, and strength.

When was the last time you engaged in creativity?

Today, yesterday, last week?

When you engage in your own personal creativity, you’re able to get in touch with the creative power of the universe. It’s here that you can draw upon the universal energy that helps you to continue to grow and evolve. It’s here where you can connect with your true nature and become more closely aware of your soul’s longings that are wanting to manifest in the world.

2. Ignite your energy.

Every morning when you wake up, you have a whole day that’s yours to create. You have the opportunity to connect and engage with the world around you if you’d like. This connection, when done mindfully, can be a powerful source of energy, for we live in relationship to the earth and the universe.

As human beings in the world, we’re very sense-oriented – always taking in the world through our sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. But how often do we do this mindfully during the day?

Do you pause to feel the rough bark of the nearby juniper tree?

Or listen to the call of the mourning dove as the sun rises?

To smell the freshness of the air after a spring rain?

Or taste the sweetness of a strawberry freshly picked?

By choosing to mindfully engage your senses, you’ll feel more energized and fully alive!

3. Get moving!

Today, put on a favorite song or even a mantra. Sing or chant along with it. When inspired, begin to move. Maybe you’ll begin to move like an animal or like something else in nature such as waves in the ocean or grass blowing in a breeze. Move in whatever way you’re inspired to.

And when the music comes to an end, take a deep breath, and see how you feel.

What has shifted? How do you feel now compared to before?

Music and movement will help you to feel relaxed, yet energized.

4. Seek balance.

In nature, we can see the effect of too much or too little. Too much or too little sun, rain, and activity. This affects the plants in a negative way. Without balance, the fruits and vegetables would be damaged. A lack of activity in not plowing the field would lead to the grains not sprouting.

So, we see the wisdom of the balance that exists in between the extremes.

Where is it that you might need more balance in your life?

When we’re in balance, we’re empowered to be our best self. We’re guiding our own path in the world. The excess of activity or inactivity doesn’t take control of us.

Finding more balance in our lives nourishes us. It rejuvenates our energy and allows us to be more receptive to new opportunities that arise.

5. Listen to Your Longings.

Our longings percolate within our thoughts, dreams, and feelings.

It’s time to listen and begin to allow them to break through the surface and see the light of day.

What are you being called to bring into the world at this time?

Envision it now.

How can your vision begin to sprout and come to life?

What small step can you take today to begin?

“When you have a vision that is strong enough and powerful enough, nothing can stand in your way.” Lewis Howes
